After several years of live performance the excellent, transatlantic cooperation by Grant Gordy, Ben Somers & Joe Walsh continues under a new name: The Peregrines.

Composed of three exceptional instrumentalists, this trio searches the boundaries of bluegrass and this results in a challenging mix of modern acoustic music.

Grant Gordy among others played with David Grisman and more recently Mr. Sun;

Joe K. Walsh (also a member of Mr. Sun) has been a long standing member of The Gibson Brothers Band. Besides that he is a mandolin teacher at the Berklee College of Music.

Ben Somers leads several of his own projects including his own bluegrass/old time string band and New Orleans brass group “Brass Hysteria”. He has played and toured with such artists as Seal, Dr John, Taylor Swift and regularly teaches at the Sore Fingers Summer School.

The Peregrines return back to Europe, with special guest Bobby Britt, early may, and for this occasion the following activities are planned in the Netherlands:

May 4: Clinic at “de Parel van Zuilen”, Utrecht
May 5: Performance Gulpener Bluegrass Festival, Utrecht,
and presentation of debut-EP “Introducing The Peregrines”
